Course description
Power BI – Power BI and Other Apps is a practical course designed to help learners integrate Power BI with other Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint. This course focuses on how to extend the value of Power BI reports and dashboards by embedding, exporting, and analyzing data across familiar productivity tools. Learners begin by understanding the role of workspaces in the Power BI Service and how to manage content within them. The course then explores how to publish Excel workbooks to Power BI, including pivot tables and charts, and how to pin Excel content to dashboards for broader visibility. Participants will also learn how to use the “Analyze in Excel” feature, which allows users to build pivot tables directly from Power BI semantic models without duplicating data. The course continues with guidance on exporting Power BI visuals to PowerPoint, including embedding live data for interactive presentations. Learners will understand when to use static images versus live connections, depending on bandwidth and presentation needs. By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to seamlessly connect Power BI with Excel and PowerPoint, enabling more dynamic reporting, collaboration, and storytelling across platforms.
