Power BI – Exploring New Chart Types is an intermediate-level course designed to expand learners’ visualization capabilities by introducing a variety of advanced and emerging chart types. While foundational visuals like bar and line charts are essential, this course focuses on more dynamic and insightful visualizations that help users uncover patterns, relationships, and geographic trends in their data. Learners begin by building donut charts, which offer a cleaner alternative to pie charts and allow for layered data representation. The course then introduces treemaps, which display hierarchical data using nested rectangles, making it easier to compare proportions across categories. Participants will also explore filled maps, which use color shading to represent data across geographic regions, and learn how to enhance these maps with tooltips and legends for even deeper insight.
