Background

The safety reporting and tracking software being used by a large energy company in the Northeastern United States was undergoing an upgrade that would cause significant changes in user experience. The company needed an update to their training resources on this software, including videos, job aids, and other materials, as these would no longer be relevant after the upgrade. In addition, the company also needed training content developed and delivered that focused on a new mobile software that was being rolled out, along with training content targeted at specific features of the upgraded software.

Objectives

The client had been using a previous version of their safety reporting and tracking software but was now planning to use the upgraded software in a more involved and in-depth manner. Because of this, their team needed to learn the software in much more detail to be able to use it effectively and efficiently. The client needed someone who could develop customized training content based on new specifications and processes.

Solutions

The Intellezy team met with Subject Matter Experts for the applications to discuss business needs, user base, specific changes, and the audience that needed the training resources. Through productive conversations and thoughtful inquiry, Intellezy helped identify the training needs early in the project. Intellezy analyzed and assessed the client’s existing training content and then developed custom eLearning, in the form of an interactive, engaging video simulation, that helped align the content better to the client’s processes. The client’s users are now actively using the customized training materials, with thousands of content views measured.
