We would like to express our gratitude to all who stopped by Booth 320 during the DevLearn conference in Las Vegas a few weeks ago. DevLearn 2023 provided a platform for professionals and experts in the Learning & Development industry to collaborate, share innovative ideas, and influence the trajectory of workplace training. With engaging keynote presentations, interactive workshops, expert insights, and valuable networking sessions, DevLearn proved to be an outstanding opportunity for enhancing and elevating the L&D landscape.
Showcasing AR & VR Learning Solutions
Our augmented and virtual reality solutions were a massive point of interest at DevLearn, with our team providing public demos of our AR and VR solutions to conference-goers throughout the conference. We can’t believe just how many people came by to check out our immersive learning solutions and discuss how AR and VR can fit into their overall learning and development strategy!
In addition to our hands-on demos at the booth, Destery Hildenbrand, XR Solution Architect, shared his expertise on immersive learning during his speaking session, “The XR Files: Immersive Technology for Learning Explained,” co-presented with Betty Dannewitz, Founder & CEO of ifyouaskbetty LLC. During the session, Destery discussed immersive technology for learning, exploring its effective use in blended learning experiences and how organizations can get started on implementing XR into their training.
Virtual Reality for Learning
Our virtual reality demos truly highlighted how VR can be used to train for both hard/technical skills and soft skills. Our VR safety training demo, set in our virtual warehouse environment, gave users a hands-on training experience that taught them how to properly use a fire extinguisher to put out fires. Our AI-powered VR soft skills training demo allowed users to engage in realistic conversations with Thomas Kim and Maya Singh, our two lifelike digital avatars, in our newly expanded Intellezy virtual office.
Augmented Reality Training Examples
In addition to our VR demos, we also showcased a variety of engaging augmented reality solution samples, showing booth guests how AR can be used for various learning purposes. AR learning examples that we featured at DevLearn included:
AR PPE Training: an AR simulation that teaches learners the proper order for putting on personal protective equipment (PPE)
ProtoVision 3D Perspective Tool: an AR-powered 3D model visualization that can be used to insert and visualize life-sized models in real-world spaces
Cyber Security AR Certification: a badging experience that allows users to take an AR-enhanced selfie announcing their completion of a cyber security eLearning course
Photo Booth AR Selfie Station: a fun photo booth experience that utilizes AR to allow users to “try on” different accessories and take a silly selfie
AR-Powered Immersive Cube
At DevLearn, our team once again demonstrated our immersive cube, which provides users with an easy-to-navigate augmented reality experience that emphasizes AR’s power and possibilities. As they engage and interact with the cube, users are able to get information on our services, watch samples of our work, schedule a discovery call with our team, and even have some fun with a virtual photo booth.
Strengthening Partnerships
We were so grateful for the opportunity to connect with our valued partners in person at DevLearn. It was wonderful to see partners such as 360Learning, Go1, and Zappar, showcasing their expertise and innovation at the conference, and we enjoyed the time spent strengthening our relationships with such inspiring, energetic L&D leaders.
