Copilot Studio: An Introduction to Agent Building is a hands-on introduction to customizing, testing, and publishing an AI agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio. This course assumes learners already understand why AI agents matter and are ready for the practical next step: building one. Rather than starting from a blank canvas, learners follow a template-first approach that creates an early win and reduces the overwhelm that often comes with agent development. Using the Weather agent template as a guided example, learners see how to customize an agent's identity and purpose, ground its responses in company-specific knowledge, test it against realistic and edge-case questions, and publish it for others to use. Along the way, the course tours the Copilot Studio interface at a recognition level, introducing the Agents, Flows, and Tools areas so learners understand the broader platform without being asked to master every capability in one sitting. Knowledge sources and testing receive the most attention, since they are what separate an impressive demo from an agent workers can actually rely on. By the end of the course, learners will have customized, grounded, tested, and published a functional agent, and will understand how this course fits into the larger Copilot Studio series covering agent design, workflow automation, and advanced tools and integrations.
