Course description
This course explains how to organize multi-sheet workbooks and control how they’re viewed and navigated. You’ll start by renaming worksheet tabs with meaningful labels and applying tab colors to visually separate sections at a glance. You’ll manage sheets efficiently: add new sheets from the plus button or Insert menu (including chart or other sheet types), delete unneeded sheets, move or copy sheets, and hide or unhide content to keep workbooks tidy. You’ll also see when and how to protect a sheet to reduce accidental edits. Next, you’ll navigate multiple sheets quickly by Ctrl-clicking or Shift-clicking to select several at once, then drag to reorder as a group for faster restructuring. The course then explores workbook views: switch between Normal, Page Break Preview, and Page Layout to understand and adjust page breaks to keep related data together. You’ll create Custom Views that remember print settings and whether rows, columns, or filters are hidden, so you can switch contexts without reconfiguring. Finally, you’ll master zoom controls from the status bar and the View tab, reset to 100%, use presets, and apply Zoom to Selection to focus attention on the exact range you’re reviewing. By the end, you’ll understand practical techniques to name, color, arrange, and view sheets so workbooks remain clear, navigable, and presentation-ready.
