Course description

This course explores Excel 365’s Formula Auditing tools, which are essential for managing complex workbooks and ensuring calculation accuracy. It begins with an overview of how to display formulas directly within cells using the Show Formulas feature, allowing for immediate visibility of existing calculations across a worksheet. Learners are introduced to shortcut keys and ribbon tools that enhance visibility and understanding of how formulas function in context. The course explains how to use Trace Precedents and Trace Dependents to visualize cell relationships, helping users identify which data feeds into specific formulas and which formulas rely on a given input. These tools are particularly useful when working with inherited workbooks or unfamiliar data sets. Additional instruction covers the Watch Window, which enables users to monitor critical formula results across large or multi-sheet workbooks without scrolling. Error Checking tools are also featured, including how to identify, navigate, and resolve common formula errors such as division by zero, reference errors, and inconsistent formulas.
