Course description

This course focuses on Excel 365's What-If Analysis tools, which allow users to model and compare various hypothetical scenarios using different inputs. It introduces Scenario Manager, a tool that enables users to define and switch between multiple sets of input values to instantly see their impact on worksheet formulas. Learners will see how to create, modify, and summarize scenarios such as budget variations, forecast models, and expense planning—all within the same worksheet. The course also explains how to use Goal Seek to determine the necessary input required to achieve a specific output in a formula, ideal for reverse-engineering problems like calculating a maximum loan amount based on a target monthly payment. Data Tables are covered for scenarios involving one or two variables, allowing users to generate a full matrix of outcomes from varying inputs. This feature supports sensitivity analysis, especially when evaluating multiple financial or operational possibilities. Each tool is demonstrated with practical examples, such as budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
