Course description

Excel 365 provides several intelligent tools designed to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance efficiency, and this course introduces learners to Flash Fill, Autofill, cell referencing techniques, and the Quick Analysis tool. Participants begin with Flash Fill, a feature that can automatically detect patterns in data entry and fill in entire columns based on a single example—ideal for splitting or combining names, addresses, or other data without relying on complex formulas. Next, learners explore the Autofill tool, also known as the fill handle, which extends series of data such as numbers, dates, days of the week, or even user-created custom lists. The course demonstrates how Autofill can also copy formulas across rows or columns, while providing options to control whether formatting or values are included. Building on this, the course explains relative, absolute, and mixed cell references, showing how they function when formulas are copied across ranges and why absolute references are crucial when working with constant values such as tax or commission rates. Learners then gain an understanding of the Quick Analysis tool, which provides instant access to formatting, charting, totals, tables, and sparklines, all generated from a selected range of cells. This tool makes it possible to apply formulas and insights with just a few clicks, reducing the need for manual setup. By the end of this course, learners will be able to efficiently use Excel’s smart tools to automate tasks, simplify formulas, and quickly generate meaningful insights from their data, saving time and reducing errors.
